May I introduce you to a (blogging) friend of mine?
Her name is Olive and she’s a real inspiration to me. Olive loves Jesus and that’s clear when you meet her. She’s in her 80s (yes you read that right- it’s not a typo!) and she blogs over at octomusings. There are always lots of good snippets from around the Christian world, some of which give a very different perspective.

Thanks for the mention, Lorna. It’s very funny because no-one had picked up on this post of mine and I was about to repeat it this morning , fearing that it had been missed because of the rest of that post. Since writing it, I’ve been talking to people who have given up buying presents for the adults because of the expense. That seems to be a pity, and this idea means that in our family we will still be able to have the ceremony of presents under the tree for everyone.
