Devotionals
The word “devotional” is a strange one isn’t it – I expect we all know what we mean by it – but nonetheless it’s not in my everyday vocabulary – is it in yours?
eija over at clay in His hands pointed me in the direction of a chance to win a hugh pile of devotionals – a couple of which, including this one featuring the writings of C.S. Lewis, I’d really like to read.

The prize is being offered by Christian Devotionals, which offers
Encouragement for your daily walk with God, featuring all the best daily devotionals online.
Those devotionals include writings from Max Lucado, Billy Graham, My Utmost for His Highest, Charles Spurgeon and of course Our Daily Bread. I noticed there are also other articles – some of which caught my eye. Go check it out for yourself. You can also enter the competion too if you blog about it.
Anyway I thought I’d say that if I’m lucky enough to win this competition- then I’ll want to share my winnings with some of you. Entry is easy – leave a comment and tell me which of the 22 books you’d most like to read and why- and I’ll do a draw. Fair’s fair … IF I win, you might win too

And the book list is here:

It’s a tough choice… Luther’s Faith alone might be interesting as well as the year with C.S. Lewis. The loveliness of Christ is a really tempting title and John Piper (Taste and see) would be great for sure, not to mention many others in that list… But since The Bible is The Book I think I’d choose the one that actually sounds a bit boring (judged by the title): Search the Scriptures.
