Bookcrossing

Haven’t written about it lately because I’ve been a bit lax in reading for fun – let alone releasing books – but I have made the last two BC meetings and today’s – in cafe Sirius in the main library here in Turku – was such a lot of fun. I like the cafe propritor too – a man from Italy – who makes great cappachinos (and humours me by making it with skimmed milk when I ask – though he always says the full fat milk – shudder – would be better) and the Italian ice cream (especially the sorbet) is wonderful too. I’d forgotten how these BC ladies make me laugh. Being there is good for my Finnish too – which to be really honest, just isn’t being used enough nowadays.

Today I decluttered a bit and released about ten books – only came home with three (two of which had been promised to me) the third was this one ….

I don’t feel bad about my neck – but the comment about not looking in the mirror too often made me laugh enough to pick up the book. I’ll probably read this in Tenerife and as there are bound to be other old ladies around at that time of year release it there on / around my 50th birthday!
